Summer Camp, the adventure that lasts a lifetime!
The adventure begins the day you arrive....from settling into your cabin and meeting new friends to venturing out together for the opening campfire.
Camp offers 1, 2, & 3 week sessions for boys and girls. There are tons of instructed activities to participate in, including arts n' crafts, aerobics, archery, BB gun, dance, canoeing, basketball, baseball, soccer, trail biking, drama, outdoor skills, canoeing, riflery, tennis, swimming, springboard diving, newspaper, volleyball, weight training, plus optional choice activities like horseback riding or ROPES on the camp's 19 element challenge course.
Camp McConnell is in the heart of Florida, with 200+ acres including an equestrain farm, challenge course, lake, Olympic-size swimming pool, and air conditioned facilities. A traditional coed summer camp with 40 years of operational experience for children ages 7 to 16. The campers are divided into cabins age appropriately, the junior camp is for ages 7 to 12 and the senior camp is for teenagers 13 to 16. A “Leader In Training” program is available for 15 & 16 year olds.

There is still space available for campers during sessions 3, 4 and 5. To sign up for summer camp click on the REGISTRATION FORM and print it, then mail or fax it to YMCA Camp McConnell.
NOTE: LIT sessions are full. Session 6 is full. Florida Adventures Week is not available this summer.

There's more! Leisure time and cabin group activities like; fishing, tetherball, horseshoes, 4-square, marshmallow roast, hiking, sports, and more. The camp store is open everynight after supper. And there's still more, those special days and field trips: the McConnell Olympics & Luau Feast, Christmas in July, Old Fashioned 4th of July with field games, tug-o-war, watermelon eating contest, swim races, and burgers on the grill; Field Trips like tubing down the Icheetucknee River, or Juniper Springs, plus optional choice trips like the New Sea Excursion, and/or the Wild Waters for Junior campers, and the one day Silver River Run and/or the Rail to Trail Bike Ride for Senior Campers.
And then every night there's evening program; hayrides, campfires, scavenger hunt, carnival, dances, skit night, Gong Show, America Gladiators,and more....
