YMCA Camp McConnell

Camp McConnell is owned and operated by the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. The camp was founded in 1967 when the YMCA purchased the former Briarcliff Country Club. That purchase was funded by a gift by Dorys McConnell Duberg in the name of her father, David Hall McConnell.

Camp has a proud history, serving thousands of children through the years as that magical place ‘summer camp’. Camp McConnell is the perfect place for children to spend their summers. With many activities to choose from that are structured for all ages, campers find many new interests as well as current interests to pass the time with friends, new and old....

Camp McConnell is indebted to the McConnell Trust and it's trustees, past and present:  David Faile, Jr., Clay Hutchinson, and Toni Lyerly, and former Trustees the late John Duberg and John B.  Faile.  The camp is also indebted to Patricia Duberg  for Duberg Greenhouse, John Duberg Nature Center, and Mark Brown Scholarship gifts, to R. Douglas Bradbury and Joan Kayser for the Robert and Elizabeth Bradbury Lodge, to Gil and Lucy Kiggins for their support of the McConnell camper scholarship program and to the late David Faile, Sr.
